Akash Ghosh lives and works in Kolkata. He earned his BFA in Painting from Indira kala sangit Vishwavidyalaya (Bengal Fine Arts College Chandpara) and MFA in printmaking from Government College art and craft, Calcutta University.
My painting has a lot in common with this poem to explain my self and my work. In my work I have shown a beautiful relationship with machines and people. So art is a creation that allows for interpretation or expression of emotions or is in expression of the life of any kind. Art is considered a human skill as opposed to nature, and skill applied to music, painting, poetry etc.
I live in a village since childhood, so from my childhood I was by the scenery of the village and tried to draw interesting from of nature. Then after joining a drawing class I got the idea about painting. Most of my painting at that time were on nature forms. Later after getting admission in the art college, I learn a lot from my teachers, my classmates and more thoughts started a develop. Then I realised that there are things happening in our society which if not change the society will soon go on the path of destruction.
Society is always changing and this incidents hinder he change of society. As a result the subject of my painting is now based on the inhibited phenomena of society. So that the society can moved towards a better society.

Fragments of Society & Human Emotion
Through painting, printmaking, and experimental visual language, Akash Ghosh explores the evolving relationship between human life, machines, nature, and society. His works reflect emotional narratives shaped by rural memory, urban transformation, and the complexities of contemporary civilization. Blending observation with conceptual expression, each artwork becomes a reflection on identity, change, and the fragile balance between humanity and modern existence.
